On 20th September 2006 BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality International), the independent certification body, becomes fully integrated within the Bureau Veritas global service offer and commences trading as Bureau Veritas Certification under the Bureau Veritas logo.
Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s leaders in Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and Social Accountability (QHSE-SA) management services, created BVQI in 1988 as its independent body for quality certification. Today BVQI is the most widely recognised certification organisation in the world. The company provides services to some 60,000 customers and offers solutions in the key strategic fields of QHSE-SA. The brand migration from BVQI to Bureau Veritas Certification is taking place simultaneously throughout over 100 countries.

“With today’s increased requirements in regulation, process transparency, product and system safety, certification is now an integral element of QHSE-SA management and an accepted condition for business economic performance. Certification and audit procedures contribute more and more to reliability in the production of products and services, and encourage a continuous improvement process.
A new certification mark has been designed based on the Bureau Veritas logo. Companies and organisations already certified by BVQI can implement the change in logo gradually, as they create or update their various communication materials.”
