Bureau Veritas Certification Certification Process
3-Year Cycle

Certifying your organisation
offers a proof of your commitment to quality and, as a benchmark, allows you to measure your progress towards continual improvement of business performance.

Key steps in our approach are:

  • Signed Contract - once we have received your signed contract our operations team will contact you to agree a date for your audit.
  • Pre-Audit/Gap Analysis - This is an optional audit but is a high-level evaluation of your company's management system and what processes and procedures your organisation works to. Your current system is then compared to the requirements outlined in the specific product to determine the additional requirements needed to comply with that standard.
  • Initial / Stage 1 Audit - Before your Certification audit takes place we will visit you to conduct an initial assessment. During the visit our lead auditor will concentrate on the processes & procedures, the quality manual within your management system and also visit your facilities to see if it conforms with all the requirements of the relevent standard.
  • Certification Audit - At this stage, the audit will consist of examinations, informal interviews and observations of your management system in operation and make sure its compliant. If all is satifactory, we will issue you with your certificate to show that your management system has been assessed and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the standard.
